David F. Greenbaum, MD, FACS    Dr. David Greenbaum has been practicing general surgery at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County for 15 years.  While performing most general surgical procedures, he has distinguished himself as one of the busiest and most knowledgeable bariatric surgeons in the South Jersey area.  With the assistance of his associates, he performs as many as 15 weight loss operations a month and runs the hospital’s bariatric support group.  He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University in 1976, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1980 and performed his internship and residency in general surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA from 1980-1985.  He is a fellow of the American Society for Bariatric Surgeons, where he is the chairman of the Public and Professional Education Committee.  Currently he is working on a fellowship, in San Francisco,. CA, perfecting his skills in the Duodenal Switch, both open and Laparosopically.

Samuel H. Wasser, MD, FACS    Dr. Samuel Wasser is a native of New Jersey and has practiced in Burlington County for sixteen years.  He received his bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in 1979 and his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC in 1983.  His surgical residencies were completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Morristown Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Wasser is the chief of the section of vascular surgery at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County and the director of the peripheral vascular non-invasive diagnostic laboratory.  He has served on the hospital’s executive committee for many years.  He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.  In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1989, he is a member of the American Medical Association, the New Jersey Medical Society, the Vascular Society of New Jersey and the Eastern Vascular Society.  Dr. Wasser has developed a large personal series of microvascular peripheral arterial reconstruction procedures, specializing in arterial, vascular and varicose vein surgery and serves as the director of the hospital’s Wound Care Center.  Dr. Wasser is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.  In addition to vascular procedures, Dr. Wasser has performed more than 150 bariatric procedures.  He has become proficient in performing the Gastric By-Pass Laparosopically during the last year.

 

Richard D. Ing, MD, FACS    Dr. Richard Ing is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and completed his surgical residency at Wayne State University. He was the recipient of the Wulsin Fellowship for Surgical Research at the University of Cincinnati and served on the Resident Recruitment Committee and Surgery Residency Committee at Wayne State. He is a diplomate of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and the American Medical Association. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and is an instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support. Dr. Ing is also one of the few surgeons in the United States who has completed a separate fellowship in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Ing’s special interests include laparoscopic colon surgery, laparoscopic hiatal hernia surgery, laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery and laparoscopic biliary tract surgery. His most recent publication, written in conjunction with Dr. Moises Jacobs, will appear as a chapter in a book entitled “Laparoscopic Colectomy for Colon Carcinoma.”
